New true-colour Balluff sensor that detects the slightest change in colour.
Balluff has just announced the new Balluff true-colour sensor which can detect the slightest change in the different shades of colour or grey scale with ease.
The Balluff BFS 33M sensor can detect objects precisely and quickly switches the corresponding output. Up to seven objects can be signalled on the switching outputs. Also L*a*b colour values can be directly output on a serial interface.
The design is attractive, modern and meets the needs of machine and system builders.
colour values can be output by a serial interface.
Special compensation and individual calibration means the sensor has high accuracies for long periods. The sensor detects every colour in the colour space therefore making it ideal for a range of demanding applications such as: robotics, automated assembly, use in the packaging industry or wood processing industry. The sensor is used in conjunction with a fibre optic cable, therefore allowing it to handle applications even under harsh and tight conditions. When used with an optional lens it makes ranges of 400mm or more possible.
A 1.5kHz switching frequency allows fast processes to be monitored. All of the settings can be made and displayed using the user-friendly software, therefore the sensor will be up and running in no time and the user will know the sensors status. The Balluff BFS33M is IP54 protected, the maximum ambient temperature is +55°c and the minimum ambient temperature is 10°c.
